Gor Tumanyan was born on 28 August, 2000.

He died on the 27th day of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan since 27 September.

Gor was a sophomore at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas. He left his study to pay his debt to the homeland. He dreamed of singing at the La Scala Theater in Italy, and even received an invitation from Italy. Gor’s father says that at first he did not like the song very much, and wanted to continue his father’s profession, to become a dental technician.

“He used to come and work with me, but I definitely wanted him to sing. When he was singing his song made my body tremble. We spared nothing for his good education. He said that singing is a tricky job. Then he loved singing very much, he fell in love with all that,” Seyran Tumanyan says.

Gor had already managed to receive the title of honorary citizen of Ashtarak.

Among many awards his relatives distinguished the victory in the Turkish city of Side at “Harmony” 8th International Festival. He returned to the homeland with the “Grand Prix ” , defeating the Azeris and the Turks.

Gor’s father, Seyran Tumanyan, went to the front line with his niece, Nshan Chalabyan, as a volunteer, and wanted to be close to his son. Unfortunately, the son died in front of his father.
