“Again, not hired”: Employers have no Right to indicate Age in Job Announcements
On 10 September, 2019, the National Assembly adopted a draft prohibiting age and other restrictions in the Labor Code.
We seek for a good-looking, 20-35 year old saleswoman. Work experience is required.
– I have 12 years of work experience; I meet all the requirements for your job.
– She seems a good specialist, but she is no longer young.
– You know, I didn’t get hired again, as if women over 40 are not able to work.
– But this is a violation of law and employers do not have the right
to indicate the age of the required employee in job announcements.
