The serviceman of one of the military units of Armenia was charged with the features of part 1 of Article 364 of the RA Criminal Code,  “Refusal by a serviceman from performing one’s military service or some duties thereof, if this was accompanied with their actual disruption, is punished with arrest for the term of up to 3 months, or with disciplinary battalion for the term of up to 2 years, or imprisonment for up to 2 years.” the soldier failed to fulfill his commander’s order. Advocate Armine Fanyan who undertook the defense of the soldier noted that later it became clear that the commander’s order was illegal.
