Zoya is one of the mothers who gave birth at the Republican Maternity Hospital. She remembers that day very well. Her daughter was born on the night of 21 September, 2010. She said in the conversation with Iravabana.net.

“I had tremperature. I had a temperature. Instead of organizing a quick birth, they connected me to a system with magnesium. I had the baby by my own strength, they even put the baby on me, if everything went wrong they would have taken it quickly, like they did to my second child. The midwife was a young woman, if I am not mistaken, Ruzanna. After birth, the baby was taken in a kuvez because she was born 28 weeks and weighed 1 kg 700 kg,” she says.

According to Zoya, the child was in normal condition all day. They told to bring clothes and a diaper from the mother to dress the baby. The next day she was supposed to feed her daughter, but in the evening everything changed.

“They didn’t let me see my baby, though I insisted. I was quickly taken to another floor so as not to disturb them. There was not even talk of a child being bad. I would go and see my child and go back to the ward. My husband, sister, and I had seen the baby, and I even had taken a photo in the kuvez. But after two days, everything changed,” he says.

Zoya’s husband did not come to the hospital for two days. She then learned that the doctor had called her husband and reported that the baby had died. When the child’s father wanted to see it and bury, he was shown a SAS supermarket bag and told that the child was in it.

“He had seen all this and didn’t know how to tell me the news. They refused to give us the baby, saying we should not make it the way to the grave. You are young; you will have children. Seven days later, my husband’s mother died, unable to resist the blow. I gave birth to my son after 11 months, if there were problems I wouldn’t have had a healthy baby so soon,” Zoya says. 

According to Zoya, obstetrician-gynecologist Narine Vigen Harutyunyan had reported the baby’s death .
