Davit Sanasaryan on Illegal Irrigation of Gardens belonging to Hovik Abrahamyan’s Family: Details
On the Prime Minister’s instruction, the State Supervision Service conducts research in the connection of pipes with a diameter 100mm and pipe carrying capacity of 50-70 l/s on the Mkhchyan first pumping pipeline in the “Artashat WUA” service area, through which the adjacent vineyards irrigation was carried out..
“Jrar” CJSC is not a supplier of irrigation water. According to the land users and existing hydraulic regulations, the connection of these pipes is illegal. This pumping station is obliged to supply the entire water to “Artashat” WU Company. There are three pipes each with a diameter of 100 millimeters and carrying capacity of 50-70 l/s water on the continuation of the pipe. For more than 15 years, water has been flowing to the vineyards for irrigation, but some of them have trivial payments.
The violation was registered on the spot, the director of the Water Committee, the Deputy Chief, the Chief Engineer, representatives of the Artashat WUA and the Artashat regional administration and the police department staffs were present at the site.
“Artashat Winkom” LLC and greenhouses belong to the family of former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan. Materials are being prepared in the Artashat department of the Ararat Marz of the Republic of Armenia on the occasion of the incident.
