A draft bill on making amendments to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Armenia Rules and Procedures of the National Assembly was presented to the National Assembly. During the first reading, it was only proposed that the government representatives are obliged to participate in the discussion of the law. The existing law stated that they could “be present”: there was no obligation.

During the second reading some remarkable changes were added to the draft. One of the important changes is that it is proposed to settle the issue of hindering the work of the NA session.

According to Arpine Hovhannisyan, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly, “We do not have the” Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly “to regulate, for example, the impediments in force-majeure situations, emergency situations and sittings.”
