In the interview with Iravaban.net, advocate Norayr Norikyan commented the killings that took place near “Nubarashen” penitentiary. To the question why the perpetrators of the murder had left the weapons at the site of the incident he answered, “I am not a professional, but as a result of amateur level studies I came to a conclusion that there is an unwritten rule in the criminal world that in case of a contract murder the killer leaves the weapons in the place of the murder. It is also possible that they simply did not have time to take the weapons while fleeing.”
Notably, the police found two pistols and one machine gun at the site of the incident.
The advocate also noted that such killings are carried out on different motives, “Unfortunately, such scandalous murders had often taken place in Armenia. These are not only contract killings but also result of disputes between the criminal groups, caused by ambitions, sometimes the result of vengeance. I should note that the manner, the nature of the offense committed and the resonance, speak about one thing, which means that there is much work to be done in our law authorities’ system in the fight against crime,” he said.
The actions of the police are of vital importance in prevention of such cases. “I think that the most important impulse of today’s incident is that the police shpuld never and in no circumstances weaken vigilance and should properly respond to them. One of the reasons for such situations is the the fact of failure to reveal the previous vibrant crimes; and thus creation of the atmosphere of impunity even deepens. Prevention of crime should be double strengthened,” the advocate said.
Formerly we informed that shooting had taken place on 4 March at 13:59 near “Nubarashen” Penitentiary. The doctors of the Ambulance service found one corps at the site of the incident. Two persons were taken to the hospital but they died on the way. Criminal case has been initiated on the fact of shooting.
