Today, “Nubarashen” Penitentiary is temporarily closed so that the work of the police is not hindered. Iravaban.net learned this from Gor Ghlechyan, Head of the RA Ministry of Justice Penitentiary Department`s Public Relations Division.

Mr. Ghelechyan did not answer the question on the relation of the shooting with the Penitentiary service, on the reasoning that the preliminary investigation was in process. To our question whether the killd persons had entered the territory of penitentiary prior to the incident, Mr. Ghlechyan answered, “Maybe, I don’t know. Investigation is in process, I am not authorized to answer such questions.”

Formerly we informed that shooting had taken place on 4 March at 13:59 near “Nubarashen” Penitentiary. The doctors of the Ambulance service found one corps at the site of the incident. Two persons were taken to the hospital but they died on the way. Criminal case has been initiated on the fact of shooting.
