Today, at the regular meeting of the RA Government, the Executive approved the provisions of the agreement to be signed between the Governments of the RA represented by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the RA and “Anaklia IEP Holding” LLC on construction and operation of a 540 MW capacity gas turbine power plant in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
“Anaklia Energy” Company had applied to the RA Prime Minister with the proposal to construct gas power plant and expressed willingness to fund the construction with expectations of guaranteed uninterrupted gas supply from the RA Government, as well as provision of necessary permits, tax privileges, etc. Construction of the gas turbine power plant operating with the gas turbine of General Electric Company’s production will contribute to the development of Armenia’s energy capacity.
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the importance of such construction for our country and noted that in addition to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the RA it was the issue of concern of the RA Government as well.
