The Human Rights Defender’s Office is conducting monitoring of the rallies in Yerevan and a number of regions of Armenia.
“At the moment, I ask all the participants of the rallies to show maximum tolerance and restraint, to avoid any kind of violence in any situation,” Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan urges, adding that he will make relevant statements according to the events and their observation.
“All issues should be resolved on the basis of the rule of law,” the statement said.
Earlier today, citizens gathered at the National Assembly building following the call of the Prime Minister.
