Advocate Artur Sukiasyan notes that Arman Tatoyan is the most probable candidate for the Ombudsman.
Artur Sukiasyan thinks that there is a need of of legislative amendment in order to expand the range of the ombudsman’s rights. “Currently, it turns out that the defendants only send a note on a problem, draw an idea about the happening. The ombudsman does not have any further power to interfere or assist in solving the problems. He noted that the institute is based on the reputation of the Human Rights Defender.
“From this perspective, we need a prestigious, and competent, human rights defender,” Mr. Sukiasyan said.
It is due to remind that there are three the candidate to the position of Human Rights Defender: Arman Tatoyan, Zaruhi Postanjyan and Narek Aloyan.
