Sexual abuse of children is one of those forms of violence and oppression against children where their rights and freedom are violated.
According to the World Health Organization, sexual abuse or violence against children is a global problem, and although women and girls are more often subjected to sexual violence, it can happen to anyone, at any age. In recent years, various cases of sexual abuse against children have been recorded in Armenia as well.
