The traffic was paralyzed for a few minutes in front of Yerevan's Malatia market. The workers the fair of economic goods left their stalls and went into the streets in protest.
Some of them told us that they were complaining against the high prices established for the rent of trading pavilions. The costs start from 150 thousand AMD (approximately 300 USD). The merchants said they pay this sum with great difficulty as they do not have income.
The traders’ demands were directed to the government. They were calling to pursue a tax policy that will not make people give high fees for the booths.
The traffic in the street was restored by the police. The protetors left the streets claiming that the would carry out a protest action the next day as well.
