The Information and Public Relations Department of the RA Ministry of Defense informs that on 18 December, the concluding session of the The RA Council on the Issues of Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons under the presidency of the RA Minister of Defense seyran Ohanyan, took place in the Administrative Complex of the Ministry of Defense of the RA.
In the opening speech the Minister of Defense said that 2014 was a really intense working year with regard to repatriation of the prisoners of war. The Minister said that the Republic of Armenia has always been active in the repatriation of prisoners and assistance to the families of the missing.
During the meeting, the committee members introduced the activities and programs carried out in 2014 and made recommendations. The main directions for 2015 were are outlined as well. Seyran Ohanyan summarized the carried out work and gave a number of instructions to the committee members to carrying out the future work more efficiently and appropriate.
At the end, the Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan awarded medals, certificates and gifts to the active members of the committee.
