Yesterday, January 15, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, an Azerbaijan solder, Fikret Nurshiravanoghlu Beshirov has been killed by Armenian gunfire, is false. We recommend Azerbaijani side to search for causes of their solder’s death in interpersonal non-statutory conduct inside their army.
Moreover, from the night of 15 and to the morning of 16 January, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire regime in all directions of the line of contact, using artillery weapons with the 60 mm and 82 mm mortars. More intense violations occurred in the eastern and north-eastern positions of Defense Army: the enemy fired 51 missiles from 60 mm and 3 missiles from 82 mm mortars.
The vanguard units of the Defense Army responded certain areas to suppress the activity of enemy’s units.
Azerbaijan shall bear the complete responsibility for future consequences of tension of the situation on the front-line. In case of such conduct of the enemy, the actions of the NKR Defense Army will be more severe.
