Pursuant to article 296 of RA Criminal Code illegal forest cuttings, damaging or obliterating trees, bushes, which are not part of the forest stock, or not subject to cutting, floral coverage considered to be state property, to the extent to stop their growth, if these actions inflicted a large damage, is punished with a fine in the amount of 200 to 400 of minimal salaries, or with deprivation of the right to hold certain posts or practice certain activities for up to 3 years, or correctional labor for 6 months to 1 year, or with arrest for the term of up to 2 months.

4) Damaging trees and bushed registered in the Red Book of RA, are punished with a fine in the amount of 300 to 500 of minimal salaries, or correctional labor for 1-2 years, or with arrest for the term of up to 3 months, with or without deprivation of the right to hold certain posts or practice certain activities for up to 3 years.
