There was a Fun Event: Levon Barseghyan about the Session of the Anti-Corruption Council

“There was a fun event. This is right,” this is how Mr. Levon Barsegyan, member of Gyumri Council of Elders described the first session of the Anti-Corruption Council, which took place at the Government. “Hovik Abrahamyan fights against the corruption with Gagik Khachatryan… So the issue is not resolved, I have nothing else to say,” Levon Barseghyan said in the interview with Iravaban.net.

As for the fact that the council was not completely formed because the four opposition parties of the NA and CSOs had refused to join it, Levon Barseghyam considers that the reason for it is mistrust towards the government and the activity of the Government created Council

Levon Barseghyam mentioned that the Government would like to see more people from the CSOs at the session of the council having the objective to show to the USAID, which is interested in this issue, that the public trusts them.

Levon Barseghyan considers normal participation of the representative of two NGOs in the session. He said, “They considered it correct and went there and delivered speech. Maybe they hoped that something can be changed.”
