Can Alimony be claimed for the Adult Child?

The RA Family Code provides that alimony may be claimed for the vulnerable incapable major children of 18 years of age. Pursuant to Article 73 opf the RA Family Code, Parents are obliged to provide their vulnerable incapable major children with living means.

Such legal norm is provided in Article 36 of the RA Constitution, which reads that parents shall have the right and obligation to take care of the education, health of as well as the full and harmonious development of their children.

At the same time it should be noted that in case of the absence of alimony paying agreement between parents alimony exaction from parents is implemented by judicial procedure by making monthly payments.
