A New Agreement Regulating Migration Processes between Armenia and France is being prepared

On 25 February the Jean-Francois Charpentier, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Armenia visited the State Migration Service of the MTAES of the RA. The Ambassador was accompanied by the first advisor of French Embassy to Armenia Nicolas Fay, Consul Yvan Sergeff, and the Representation of the French Office for Immigration and Integration Affairs Jean-Dominique Fabry. Mr. Yeganyan welcomed the guests and expressed satisfaction with the long years and effective cooperation with France in the migration sphere, and congratulated Mr. Jean-Dominique Fabry assuming his new office.

Mr. Yeganyan informed the Ambassador about the discussion process of implementation of the EU Readmission Agreement of the Armenian-French protocol by the Armenian Public Authorities.

The parties discussed a number of issues referring the projects implemented with the French support. Ambassador Jean-Francois Charpentier attached special attention to the preparation process of the new agreement regulating migration processes between Armenia and France. It will be of important practical significance, because currently significant migration flows from Armenia are directed to France.
