The General Investigation Department of the Especially Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee continues the investigation of the criminal case on the murder of Avetisyans’ family on 12 January in Gyumri. Considering the strong public importance and interest on the case and attaching importance to the right of the public to receive information it is reported that the Armenian investigators had taken samples from the defendant Valeri Permyakov to carry out comparative analyses with the samples from the crime site to carry out biological, genetic, forensic examinations.
V. Permyakov’s interrogation took place with the involvement of the advocate and interpreter and was audio and video recorded as provided by law.
The necessary investigative, procedural, forensic and investigation-operative measures are being undertaken to test the circumstances indicated in the testimony of the accused.
