A Decision to involve Permyakov as an Accused is made

The Investigative Committee continues investigation of the case as required by law, initiated by the General Department on Especially Important Cases on the murder that took place in Gyumri on 12 January․

The RA Investigation Committee conducts comprehensive, thorough and impartial investigation, ensuring all possible hypotheses, as well as the necessary inspections and other investigative procedure aimed to ensure the objective investigation and juridical activities. Measures are being taken to determine the apparent path of the escape of the Russian soldier after committing the crime, his possible hiding places, as well as the circumstances of his arrest. A series of forensic expertise were set. Investigation and operational research activities to identify and examine the information about individuals who may have information about the incident are carried out, the RA Investigation Committee informs.

Considering that the obtained evidence is sufficient reason to identify the fact that the offense was committed by the ussian soldier Valerie Permyakove, who served at the  Russian 102nd military base, Division N, on 14 January, 2015, a decision was made to involve the latter as a defendant under the requirements of Part 2, Point 1 of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code. Preliminary investigation is in process.

Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offence is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
