How will the Case of the Suspect in Brutal Murder in Gyumri advance?

At this point the suspect in the murder of 6 members of the family in Gyumri, the Russian soldier Valery Permyakov is arrested by Russian law enforcement agencies within the framework of the criminal case, therefore no representative of the law enforcement bodies is authorized to publish any information about his testimony. Mr. Raffi Aslanyan,Prosecutor of Shirak marz of the RA told during the interview to Iravaban.net. He insisted that verbal information may not be published if they actually are not official.

The prosecutor also told that currently the Prosecutor General of the RA was negotiating with the Prosecutor General of the RF. The issue of joining the criminal cases into one and conducting it in the proceeding of the definite state’s jurisdiction will be discussed exceptionally on the level of General Prosecutors.

Mr. Aslanyan said that he was not sure whether the Russian law authorities would take the case. He said he did not have any information and in addition he was not authorized to provide such information. The Prosecutor added that joining of the criminal cases and deciding on the country of jurisdiction was the sole and exceptional decision of Prosecutors General of both states.

The prosecutor said that the issue of measure of restraint for Valeri Permyakov should be solved within 48 hours as that was the requirement of the RF Law.

With regard to confessing he only said that the suspect had given testimony.  R. Aslanyan added that the information about the content would be available only when the criminal case would appear in the proceeding of the RA law Enforcement Bodies.
