Control Chambers cannot be viewed as a punitive Organ: Ishkhan Zakarian

On 15 December 15, the working meeting of the Chairmen Chambers of Control of Moldova, Armenia and Latvia took place in the Kishinev, Moldova, informs the official website of the RA Chamber of Control.

On the next day a number of documents on bilateral and trilateral cooperation were signed. “The Control Chambers cannot be viewed as a punitive organ. We shall rather help the Government, the executive and legislative branches starting from budgets planning and ending with expenditures,” the Chairman of the RA Chamber of Control Ishkhan Zakaryan said in his speech.

Ms. Elita Krūmiņa, he Auditor General of Latvia, considered necessary to pass their experience to the counterparts, in order to root the principles and values of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

Serafim Urechean, Chairman of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova, referring to the idea of conducting joint inspections, considering it essential, especially in the sphere of trade between the countries.

During his visit, Mr. Zakaryan met with representatives of the Armenian community, visited the Armenian Church and got acquainted with traditions Sunday school.
