Based on the reference prepared in the Central Department of Police of Yerevan compiled on the results of the inspection conducted in the “Prisoners’ Hospital” Penitentiary of the Criminal-Executive Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia by the Control Department for Lawfulness of Application of Punishments and other Coercive Measures of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, it was revealed that the employees carrying out the state special service of the above mentioned criminal-executive institution, who were responsible for the storage, registration and release of the psychotropic substances, had committed violations.
The results of the inspection revealed that there was a lack of psychotropic substances and a surplus of non-psychotropic drugs.
A criminal case was initiated under the provisions of Part 1 of Article 267 of the RA Criminal Code.
