On invitation of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, Colonel-General Yuri Khachaturov, Chief of General Staff of the Georgian ArmedF orces, Major General Vakhtang Kapandze has arrived in Armenia on 24 November.
The Chiefs of Armed Forces of both countries discussed the issues of Armenian-Georgian cooperation and prospects in the sphere of defense. The parties highly appreciated the current level of the Armenian-Georgian cooperation in the sphere of defense. They emphasized that it contributes to the development of defense capabilities of the military departments as well as promotes the maintenance of stability in the region. As a result of the meeting the parties reached a number of agreements on n\bilateral military cooperation.
Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan had a personal meeting with Major GeneralV.Kapanadzeias well.
