Today former head of the RA Judicial Department Misak Martirosyan came up with an intervention on the case. He stated that the investigatory actions have been carried out in the preliminary investigation stage with law violations. “The facts against me were acquired illicitly”, said the defendant separately referring to the cases of bribes, in particular. He quoted parts of testimonies of witnesses stating that the preliminary investigation body overkept them at the police, etc..
Concluding Mr. Martirosyan said: “Based on these facts I request the court to change the episodes of bribes towards me, as well as change the restraint measure setting it in the form of a pledge”.
The court went into the consultation room, and judge Arshak Vardanyan will get back to this request at the next court sitting.
