The Traffic Police have found the key to solving the problem of traffic jams. Today Lieutenant Colonel of Police Arsen Arshakyan, Commander of the 1st Police Battalion of the RA Road Police, during the meeting with the journalists mentioned that soon the road police will be provided certain authorities. The Traffic officers arriving to the site of the incident will be able to take photos of the cars and to transport them from the traffic zone, “Experience has shown that the Road police reach the scene a maximum in 10 minutes, if there is no such nearby. If we shall have the authority to take photos of the cars upon our arrival and fix the places of the cars, transport them from the incident site and open the road for the traffic, then we shall have no significant congestions. This will soon be introduced,” Mr Arshakyan mentioned.
He also added, “In case if investigation is carried out, that is there is a disagreement between two drivers, then the investigator arrives to the place, carries out the investigation, assigns corresponding expertise, and after receiving the results one side is recognized guilty and administrative penalty in the amount of 30.000 AMD is imposed against the latter.”
