The Ministry of Justice has published an article appropriate to a student journal: Tigran Egoryan

As you have already been informed, the first round of interviews for candidate selection for Armenia`s judge at the ECHR took place in the library hall of the Court of Cassation.

Today members of “Europe in Law Association” NGO were also present at the court. One of them, advocate Tigran Egoryan expressed the concerns of the organization with regard to the announcement of the Ministry of Justice. “The staff of the Ministry of Justice has published an article appropriate to a student journal, which we do not need” It should have answered and clarified those facts that we published, it should have clarified how it happened that those candidates who applied after the deadline, passed to the interview stage”.

Mr Egoryan also said: “This leads to the situation when everything is done to realize decisions made in coulisses. In these processes the public and the democracy are deprived of the possibility of having their interests represented”.

Let us remind that before this the organization came up with an announcement cancel the participation of three candidates in the selection.
