Search for Avet Ohanjanyan who is accused for the Murder in Paulaner Beer-House

Avet Ohanjanyan (on the photo) is under search in the framework of the criminal case for the murder and causing bodily injuries that occurred on 27 September 2014 in Paulaner Beer-House, located in 19 Teryan Street, informs the information and public relations department of the RA Investigatory Committee.

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case in the Central Investigation Department of Yerevan Criminal Investigation Department revealed that on September 27, Avet Ohanjanyan quarreled in the director’s office of Paulaner Beer-House in 19 Teryan Street, with the co-owners of the beer house A. Harutyunyan, S. Senekerimyan and the director A. Parsadanyan, referring to the issue of the loud music. Then he took out his knife and hit the mentioned three persons and escaped.

As a result A. Harutyunyan was wounded in his left elbow; S. Senekerimyan was caused severe abdominal penetrating injury, and A. Parsadanyan severe chest injury, lost consciousness, and died without regaining consciousness.

On September 29, the decision was made to involve Avet Ohanjanian as an accused under the requirements of the Criminal Code, Part 1 of Article 104, and Part 1 of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code. The Court of the First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Kentron – Nork Marash Administrative regions upheld solicitation of the investigator to apply detention as measure of restraint.

Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offence is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
