Huge work is being done in the Advocates` Chamber to increase transparency and accountability of the Chamber, assures President of the Advocates` Chamber Ara Zohrabyan. As an example he mentions the online streaming of the Chamber sessions. “In the conference hall of the Chamber there are respective technical means set with the help of which we stream our Council Sessions. We`ve started since September, and every advocate can follow our sessions”, said Ara Zohrabyan also adding that not only the sessions are transparent, but also the financial reports of the Chamber activities which are fully uploaded on the website of the Chamber.
There was certain dissatisfaction concerning the business trips. “Our partners were concerned that in case of a business trip offer not many people are being engaged, or mainly the same people go on those trips. This issue, indeed, existed. But currently in case of an invitation we always publish it, send it via e-mail and start accepting applications based on certain criteria. This transparent procedure will contribute to the deepening of the trust between the chamber and the advocates”, concluded Ara Zohrabyan.
