The Russian Embassy in Armenia transmitted a Clarification on the law on double citizenship adopted in the Russian Federation. N 142-DO of August 4, 2014 obliges Russian citizens to immediately after getting a second (foreign) citizenship inform in person or via post the RF migration services in the Russian Federation and not in Armenia.
Thus, Russian Embassy and RF Federal Migration Service do not accept and do not consider notifications in Armenia.
Those Russian citizens who have Armenian citizenship and permanent residence in the Republic of Armenia, do not have to inform about double citizenship until entering to the Russian Federation.
