In which countries the RA-issued international driving license is valid: list of countries

International driving license is an A6 format (148 x 105 mm) card. It has grey cover and white pages.

Republic of Armenia is a member country to the 1968 Convention on “Road traffic” (for Armenia the Convention entered into force in 2006). The Convention defines that “Contracting Parties shall be bound to admit to their territories in international traffic motor vehicles and trailers which fulfil the conditions laid down in Chapter III of this Convention and whose drivers fulfil the conditions laid down in Chapter IV”

If the international driving license is given as prescribed by law and the term of usage has not expired, then it will be valid in the state parties to the Convention (36 signed and 70 member states).

State parties to the Convention are: Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belorussia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Great Britain, Hungary, Venezuela, Guyana, Gana, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Denmark, Zair, Zimbabwe, Israel, Indonesia, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Costa – Rica, Cote D`Ivoir, Cuba, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Morocco, Mexico, Monaco, Nigeria, Norway, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Moldova, Russian Federation, Romania, San-Marino, Seychelles, Senegal, Slovakia, Tajikstan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Uruguay, Philippines, Finland, France, Croatia, Central African Republic, Czech Republic, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden, Ecuador, Estonia, South-African Republic, Yugoslavia.
