On 6 and 7 August the Azerbaijani side continued violating the ceasefire in different sections of Armenian – Azerbaijanian borderline. The enemy uses different weapons including large caliber ones.
According to the operative data in the period of 5 and 6 August the ceasefire on Armenian-Azerbaijani state border was violated 56 times. They fired over 7175 shots from various caliber weapons.
The Armenian side opened fire 28 times and made 5025 shots.
In the period of 6 – 7 August and today’s morning the enemy violated the ceasefire 39 times, and made over 546 shots in the direction of the Armenian boarder troops. The Armenian side responded 8 times and made 232 shots.
The Information Center of the Defense Ministry reports of no victims on our side.
The Armenian armed forces continue to control the situation on the borderline strictly observing the ceasefire and undertake adequate actions only in cases of targeted violations by the enemy.
