In case of alimony payment on the basis of the party consent exemption from or diminishing of alimony debt is possible by the mutual consent of the parties, except for the cases of paying alimony to children.
Court can exempt a person obliged to pay alimony upon his/her request if it establishes that not paying of alimony was due to the illness or other justifiable reasons, and the property and family status of the person does not allow paying of the accumulated alimony debt.
