Former Prime Minister of Romania Adrian Nestase tried to commit a suicide after the country’s Supreme Court had confirmed his judgment. As reports ”Agence France Presse” he is accused of corruption. Nestase does not accept his blame.
On 20th of June the Supreme Court made a verdict and ordered to take him to prison. When police was to arrest him he shot himself in his neck. He was immediately taken to hospital. According to ”Associated Press”, Romanian Prime Minister, Viktor Ponta reported that he was under control.
The latter was sentenced in 2 years imprisonment for corruption on 2 January, 2012. According to the results of investigation he has illegally received 1.7 million dollars from Romanian businessmen for his company when participating in 2004 Presidental elections.
