103 Reports have been registered before and after voting: Meruzhan Hakobyan

Colonel Meruzhan Hakobyan, head of the RA Police Chief of Staff, said this at the Central Election Commission Information Center on September 23.

21 of them have been related to bribing voters, getting bribes, perceiving benevolent steps, or hindering the voter’s free will.

17 cases refer to the exercise of electoral rights, hindering the work of the electoral commission or the exercise of the power of the persons participating in the election.

1 case for hindering journalists’ professional activities.

1 case violence against a government representative.

2 cases of other types of violations.

2 cases were in the form of administrative offenses related to posters, when they broke down the posters,” said the Chief of Staff of the Police.

According to him, a criminal case has already been filed in 3 out of 93 cases, 2 of them have been sent to the preliminary investigation body, 9 cases are in the process of preparation, the information on 28 cases has not been proven in any way.

Today, on September 23, at 12:00 pm, the Police received 10 reports regarding the process of election of Yerevan City Council of #Elders.

“1 of the reports was about the hindering of the journalist’s professional activities, 1 on voting more than once or instead of another person (attempt to vote), 3 on the inaccuracies of the voter lists and 5 on other offenses,” Meruzhan Hakobyan says.

Checks on the reports have been conducted.
