Based on the decision of the senior investigator of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia within the criminal case under the Article 235 (1 and 2) of the RA Criminal Code and Part 1, Part 3, Article 179 of the same Code, based on sufficient evidence, and on the decision of the senior investigator on Especially Important Cases of the RA Special Investigation Service, on 22.06.2018 Manvel Grigoryan’s son, Karen Grigoryan, was involved as an accused  under Part 1, Part 3, Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code.

On 23.06.2018 Karen Grigoryan was charged with the execution of the criminal act, that Grigoryan and several other individuals, on their initial agreement, have stolen property in an especially a large amount entrusted to them.

Thus, in order to meet the needs of the servicemen of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army during the 4 Day April War and after that in 2016, members of the “Armenian Community of the Russian Federation” regional non-governmental organization in May 2016, purchased in Russia and transferred to the RA three “UAZ” vehicles, calibration and military equipment. Then the representatives of the mentioned organization accompanied by Karen Grigoryan left for the Republic of Artsakh where they hand over the above mentioned property to Manvel Grigoryan and to the Defense Army of the Artsakh Republic.

Karen and Manvel Grigoryans, instead of handing the vehicles with the cost over 1,389,000 Russian rubles equivalent to  AMD 10.028.580, to the Artsakh Republic Defense Army, embezzled the vehicle with a group of other individuals on a prior agreement and stored the cars in the Armavir marz in the territory of  “Ara and Aytsenik” OJSC located at 19 Mashtots Street in Etchmiadzin city and use them at their discretion for personal needs.
