Today the Society is waiting for New Findings: Anti-Corruption Expert

“Today, the public trusts law enforcement agencies; their reputation has increased in society. I think there will be an increase in findings of corruption issues,” Marat Atovmyan, an anti-corruption expert said in relation with the anti-corruption findings of the last days, speaking to reporters today.

“The society has become a claimant, and now we have a community that expects new findings. When the public feels that the struggle is stopped, it can apply pressure to continue the struggle. The whistleblowing system has been introduced last year, which should act even more effectively under these conditions. People can report anonymously about the crime; can you imagine that a person reports and sees that no process is initiated in the report? Today the government is forced to take into account the public,” Ms Syuzanna Soghomonyan, another anti-corruption expert said at the meeting.
