Press Center of the National Security Service of the RA informs that as a result of the operational and search activities conducted by the National Security Service under the Government of Armenia, at the time of taking of the alleged bribe, a Judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Ararat and Vayots Dzor regions of Armenia was detained.
The judge demanded and personally received $ 600 to take a decision on punishing the person in the form of a fine in the criminal case.
The transfer of the amount was carried out under the operational control of the employees of the National Security Service.
Prepared materials on the fact of committing a crime were transferred to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia.
Note: The suspect or accused in the alleged crime is presumed innocent until his guilt is proved according to the judicial decision, which entered into legal force, in the order established by the RA Criminal Procedure Code.
