NGOs should participate in the development Process of Public Policies

The NGO representatives believe that the Non-Governmental Organizations should participate in the entire process of the development of public policies

They are sure that civil society organizations should be provided opportunity to be involved in decision-making processes just from the very beginning. Otherwise, the government decisions and solutions will not have results in our country.

The regular focus group meeting with the representatives of the “Maternal and Child health Armenian Alliance” was organized in the scope of “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project”.

Mr. Aleksander Shagafyan, President of the “Armenian CIVITAS” NGO facilitated the meeting.

He represented the project and said that 3 areas: justice, education and business sectors had been selected as target areas in the scope or the project. He also added that 6 target areas should be selected as well.

“We shall raise the urgent problems that exist in these sectors and take them to the decision making bodies, and in cooperation with the civil society and the state and try to find and suggest solutions,” Mr. Shagafyan said.
