The State Register Agency of Legal Entities of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia shall be reserved functions to provide a number of paid services. Such decision was made by the government today․

Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan presented the draft detailing that it has two directions. “The first is anti-corruption orientation, and the second direction is providing proper legal assistance to the citizens who need it. We have adopted this approach about a year ago and we are advancing step by step.”

According to the minister, very often corruption risks may occur in cases when citizens apply to register agency receive services as to register the transaction, amending the charter of the organization or reorganization of the legal entity, etc.

“There is a danger that in such cases there may be offers to the employees of the register to prepare the documentation for a certain cost and it can be offered at a cost and solve their problems in a roundabout way. The problem here is that naturally not all citizens are aware of these legal nuances. Therefore, we recommend that the legal services are provided by the state. It’s affordable and does not leave room for corruption,” said the Minister, adding that the response of the public is positive. “Naturally, the state is not doing business, and the quality of our services and tariffs, in fact, show this is just to support the citizen and eliminating the possible corruption risks.”

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said that there is also such a problem in the SRC. According to him, in order to solve it, we need to give the citizen an alternative. So this model is suggested to introduce in the Committee: “The government shall set up an alternative proposal to close the appetites. Second, we increase the number of Brokers to increase competition and to decrease possibilities to reaching a consensus or alliance,” said the head of government.
