Pursuant to the amendments in the RA Law on Notarial System, the notaries are entitled to establish a legal fact. For example, if an error occurs in the passports a father and son, there will be no need to correct the mistakes through the court; it will be enough to apply to the notary.
The relevant amendment has come into force, but the practice has not yet formed.
Vanine Hovsepyan, the President of the Notarial Chamber of the Republic of Armenia said in the interview with Iravaban.net that the problem was related with the absence of the service fees. “There is no corresponding change in the former decision of the Government, which will provide the determined fees for the provided additional service,” she said.
The President of the Notarial Chamber said that the Justice Ministry has already developed a change and send the Notary Chamber. “Soon we shall have the set service fees,” Vanine Hovsepyan said. According to her, after the issue is solved the notaries will be able to apply the amendments of the legislation.
The Ministry of Justice informed that the draft had been sent to the Government.
