Today, the RA President Serzh Sargsyan visited the RA Պrosecutor General’s Office and introduced the newly appointed Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan to the managerial staff of the Prosecutor’s Office: the Board Members, prosecutors of marzes and military garrisons, heads of subdivision.
The President expressed his gratitude to the former Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan for his efforts directed to the establishment of the rule of law in the republic and noted that during that period some progress was registered in the fight against crime and abuses as well as in the prosecution system.
The President wished success to the Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan and his staff. Serzh Sargsyan said that Artur Davtyan has the appropriate knowledge, experience, and will to be able to support our country at this critical stage to achieve new success with support of the prosecution staff.
The President stressed the importance of everyone’s joint efforts and giving a new impetus to the work of the Prosecutor’s Office, noting that any country cannot be successful in economic, social and political life, if there is no progress in the judicial system.
