Today, the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs approved the candidacy of Arman Tatoyan, the Deputy Minister of Justice. He will be nominated at the Plenary Session of the NA as the candidate to Human Rights Defender.
During the session, 4 persons voted for and 6 persons the candidacy of Zaruhi Postanjan. “We are against her, we can vote with two hands for you,” Hovhannes Sahakyan, the Charmin of the Committee said expressing the RPA faction’s opinion about the candidate and as a reply to MP Edmon Marukyan, who saw a problem in the procedure.
Two delegates voted for the candidate of Narek Aloyan.
7 members of the committee were for nominating Arman Tatoyan to the post of the ombudsman at the plenary session of the NS. 4 voted against.
Thus, his candidacy was approved. The plenary session of NA will decided whether Arman Tatoyan shall be the fourth f Human Rights Defender or not.
