Deputy Prosecutor General Armen Harutyunyan was appointed to the position on 13 January 2015 by presidential decree.

When assuming the office the Deputy Prosecutor General declared 2 flats in the apartment building, 3 land plots, 1 individual residential house with its back office buildings and 1 non-residential space in the apartment building.

His funds totaled to 56 million 750 thousand AMD (about 120 thousand USD).

During this year his revenues amounted to 11.4 million AMD of which 5.4 million AMD were received for the rent, and the other part was remuneration for work.

We learn from the official website of the RA Prosecutor’s Office that Armen Harutyunyan was born in 1963. Before the assignment to this post, on 12 September 2014 he was appointed to the position of the Deputy President of the RA Investigative Committee, Head of the General Department of the Military Investigation.

On 25 February 2009, he was appointed to the position of the Head of the Investigation Service of the RA Ministry of Defense.

On 30 November 2007, he was appointed to the position of the Head of the Investigation Department of the RA Ministry of Defense.

In 1997-2007, he was the Deputy Military Prosecutor of the RA.

In 1995-1997, he was the Head of the RA Ministry of Justice Judiciary Departments and member of the Board of the Ministry of Justice

In 1990-1995, he was the leading and then the senior advisor at the RA Ministry of Justice Judiciary Departments.

1989-1990 – Legal adviser at “Hayzoovetmat” Republican Association and then in “Yerevan” Film Studio.

1987-1988 –Service in the Soviet Army.

1987 – Legal adviser at “Mineral Waters” Republican Association.

In 1980-1987 HR Department inspector at “Anahit” Production Association, and further as an operator of knitting machine.
