On 30 November 2015, the CSOs group of Shirak marz of CSOs’ Anti-Corruption Coalition organized and conducted the anti-corruption training on the topic “The Role of the Youth in Fight against Corruption”, for the students of three universities: Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute, Gyumri branch of State Economic University of Armenia, and Gyumri branch of Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts.

Ms Gayane Gevorgyan, Coordinator of the AYLA Shirak Regional Branch, the Regional Coordinator/Expert of “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion Project” attended the meeting as well. Mr. Karen Hovhannisyan, Prosecutor of Shirak marz prosecutor’s Office and Mr. Ara Melikjanyan, President of “LogoS” Youth NGO were present as well.

Mr. Hovhannisyan spoke about the “Nature of corruption crimes and the legislative mechanisms for struggle against them: the national legislation.” Ms Gayane Gevorgyan introduced information on the “Nature of corruption crimes and the legislative mechanisms for struggle against them: the international legal instruments.” President of “LogoS” Youth NGO Mr. Ara Melikjanyan presented the anti-corruption project implemented by the Anti-Corruption Coalition.

During the meeting the role of competent young generation was once and again highlighted in fight against corruption wit combination of the national and international legislation.
