Haw many Consecutive Days are you going to rest during the coming New Year and Christmas Holidays

Pursuant to the RA Law on “Holidays and Memorial Days in the Republic of Armenia” New Year and Christmas are considered as not working days. According to the same law the New Year and Christmas Holidays are celebrated from December 31 to January 2 included (New Year), on 3, 4 and 5 of January (Advent), and on 6 January (Christmas and Epiphany).

Memorial Day after Christmas and Epiphany Day is celebrated on January 7.

According to the RA Law on “Holidays and Memorial Days in the Republic of Armenia” all these days are considered as not working. Thus, according to the law the not working days will begin on 31 December 2015 and will end on Thursday, 7 January 2016 enabling the workers to rest 8 consecutive days. January 9 and 10, Saturday and Sunday are also not working days. The only working day from 31 December 2015 to 10 January 2016 is 8 January, which would be appropriate to move to Saturday, 17 January by the decision of the RA Government in order to enable the workers to rest for 11 days from 31 December 2015 to 10 January 2016.
