On 23 November, the CSOs group of Lori marz of CSOs’ Anti-Corruption Coalition met in the round table discussion on “Corruption Risks in the Sphere of Local Passenger Transportation” organized in the framework of “Multi-faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion” project in the AYLA Vanadzor branch office.

Mr. Ernest Gevorgyan, Coordinator of the Trade and Service, Transport Department of Vanadzor Municipality, representatives of civil society organizations and law firms attended the discussion.

During the discussion the members of CSOs group of Lori marz of CSOs’ Anti-Corruption Coalition made reports referring the area. Further the participants held a discussion. They raised the problems existing in the sphere, spoke about the issues of their concern and recommended the options for solution.

At the end of the discussion the representatives of the civil society organizations and Mr. Ernest Gevorgyan, Coordinator of the Trade and Service, Transport Department of Vanadzor Municipality reached an agreement to discuss the draft contract which would be signed after the tender for the selection of organizations carrying out regular passenger transport with the CSO representatives.
